Functional Acrylic Resins

There are PMMA-specific products with various functions added.
- Heat resistance, Impact resistance, Light diffusion, UV-Blocking, Chemical resistance, Paintless black, for special film and PC/PMMA alloy It is used in a variety of products such as automobiles, home appliances, building materials, and films by adding special functions to PMMA basic characteristics with excellent transparency, weather resistance, surface hardness, and coloring.

Heat resistant Grades

Heat resistant Grades have good transparency and weather resistance and improve heat resistance compared to general PMMA, and can be applied as a lens for automobile lamps or various lamps that may have heat.

Impact resistant Grades

Impact resistant Grades are improved by using acrylic impact modifier to prevent breakage due to external impact, and are applied to products requiring impact strength such as exterior appliances, mobile phone windows, various sheets for construction, and lighting profiles.

Diffusion Grades

Diffusion Grades have good weather resistance, surface hardness properties and high-transmission/high-diffusion performance based on LX MMA’s unique diffusing agent technology. It is applied as lighting, diffusion lenses, and automobile light guides. LF and XM series have Matt functionality to create a surface matte effect with lighting cover, automobile light guide, and coextruded top coat materials.

UV-Blocking Grades

UV-Blocking Grades have good surface hardness, anti-scratch and excellent UV ray blocking performace, so UV rays below 360 nm can be completely blocked (Tt=0%), while UV rays of 380 nm can be blocked to below 15%. It is used for external films and mobile phone back covers (PC/PMMA co-extrusion) and has excellent impact resistance to prevent breakage during external impact and processing, making it easy to select products for each purpose.

Chemical resistant Grades

Chemical resistant Grades have superior alcohol-resistant properties compared to general PMMA based on LX MMA’s differentiated polymerization technology. It has been certified by global OEMs (GM, Hyundai/Kia) and AMECA, and can be applied to parts that require alcohol resistance, such as exterior lamps.

Paintless Black Grades

Paintless Black Grades have excellent weather resistance, coloring, and surface scratch-resistant properties. They can be used as exterior components without going through the painting process, which actively provides cost reduction and environmental protection solutions. It can be used for automotive exterior parts and pillars (A-D), side-view mirrors, and decorations, and has been officially approved and applied by global OEMs (Hyundai/Kia, Renault, etc.).

Film-specific Grade

Film-specific Grade has good PMMA characteristics such as weather resistance, transparency, and processability. Extrusion processing is possible in the form of a film by improving the brittle characteristics. There are anti-whitening grade that has no whitening on folding area, products for PET/PMMA multilayer that has great stretching processability and film properties, and high-stretch grade does not break during the flexural compression process due to the improvement of tensile elongation by more than 10 times.

Grades for PC/PMMA alloy

Grades for PC/PMMA alloyhave improved compatibility with Polycarbonate. It can maintains transparency after compounding process with PC, and can compensate for surface hardness and weather resistance, which are the disadvantages of PC. It can be applied to mobile phone back cover, display window and home appliance housing.

Acrylic impact modifier

Acrylic impact modifier is used to improve impact strength of PMMA by adding appropriate amount. It has excellent weather resistance and can maintain transparency with the same refractive index as PMMA.
